What to do with unsure friends?

So I have this friend, and we have been good friends for about 7-8 years, and it seems we have had both our good and bad times. Around our 3rd year of friendship he liked me, a lot, but I liked his best friend. Long story short he stopped being my friend because of it. From there we went on and off as friends...and at one point I even thought I was in love with him, but realized it was to save the friendship. He's currently Gay for about a year now, and it seems he watches everything I do, and especially when I like a guy, or when I am in a relationship...looking at profiles, things I respond to, etc. And in both my past relationships I realize now that he was always "up on my grill" making ti hard for my relationship. I am ok with his uality...so he claims to be, but he's being weird for about half a year now, now that we are in college. He's putting his arms around me...asking me for embracing long hugs, and I had a bathing suit accident, he didn't tell me...he just watched...ewww. He even gets jealous...when I like someone. Now I know he's my friend but should I say something to him about this? Am I over reacting? Do you think he's pretending to be gay to get closer to me?
