What does Korn mean by "The Hook" as seen in their "Y'all Want a Single" video?

In Korn's video for "Y'all Want A Single", random sentences/opinions on the music industry are tered while the band wrecks a music shop. One of the sentences mentions a certain amount of songs reaching "the hook" within 20 seconds. What do they mean by "the hook" and perhaps are there any examples from other bands/artists regarding the hook.
